hole in the ground

Les' crew put a hole in my basement to put in the sewer backflow valve.
Getting that close to take pictures set off my eyes- so sore. Hope the pictures are appreciated! lol.

While this was going on the guys that I hired to put up the fence arrived. They could hear the power jackhammer working on the concrete. They could see the giant truck. ("The tires were bigger than me" one of the guys said to me) They were overawed by the professionals. The are not quite on par with Les' team yet. They couldn't work the 2 man auger to make their holes in the ground. They'll bring a different implement on Saturday.

Hopefully, the hole in my basement will be filled by then!
