Oshawa Redux

This morning there was a slight layer of snow on top of the ice on the sidewals which seemed to make everything even more slippery. The main streets were ok though.

There was about 10 cm of snow in the evening. Heavy to shovel.

James' team played Oshawa tonight. They were the ones they played on Friday that played very dirty. But in the last game they had so many penalties, they lost the game. They had learned from that and played a much cleaner game tonight.
Today though Ben (James' partner defence) took a slip on the ice at home and couldn't play tonight. Rather silly to have a hockey player slip on the ice! (His brother was walking with him and when he slipped the first thing he though of was to go and get the video camera) Ben was pretty badly bruised.
When we arrived the single A team was playing so James' coach if Joey would play in Ben's place. So Joey played 4 hours of hockey. (2 hours for his team and 2 hours for James' team)
Now the Oshawa team may be the same age as James' team but they certainly have progressed more quickly on the puberty spectrum. They had a number of big guys. But James' team has good skills even if they don't have the size and they won it 5-1. James got an assist and also stopped a guy on a breakaway singlehandedly from behind. So a good game overall!
